The Canadian Women drew 0-0 with New Zealand in Edmonton on Thursday night.
Thorns FC forward and Canadian captain Christine Sinclair started the match and played the full 90 minutes, putting an 85th minute effort off the post.
Thorns FC defender and midfielder Kaylyn Kyle subbed into the match in the 63rd minute.
New Zealand, though, wasn't without its own chances. Forward Amber Hearn put her first half penalty off the top of the Canadian crossbar.
The result leaves Canada atop Group A with four points after two games.
Through their first two matches in the tournament, the Canadians have scored just one goal, a Christine Sinclair penalty kick that sealed the opening match against China.
