The U.S. Women’s National Team moved one step closer to qualifying for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Monday night with a convincing 6-0 win over Haiti. The United States depth was on display as six different players tallied goals in the win at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

The win was punctuated by four second-half goals, a fabulous piece of skill from Carli Lloyd to open the scoring, a brace from forward Abby Wambach and a spectacular long distance strike off the foot of defender Meghan Klingenberg, her first international goal, which earned her the #1 play on SportsCenter’s Top 10. Thorns FC midfielder Tobin Heath started for the second consecutive match in qualifying and played 63 minutes in the victory.
The United States heads to Chester, Pa. for the semifinals and with a win on Friday, Oct. 24 will qualify for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The U.S. Women’s National Team will take on the Group B runner-up, which will most likely be either Jamaica or Mexico, at PPL Park. Friday’s match kicks off at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific) on FOX Sports 1.
