COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – The Portland Timbers fell 2-1 to the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Midfielder Sebastián Blancoscored his second goal of the season in the 18th minute and the goal, which gave the Timbers an early lead, but it wasn't enough as two second-half goals from the Rapids sealed the victory for the home side.

74' - SAVE (POR) - Gleeson again is there to make a stop on Doyle, whose low effort the New Zealander parries away from goal.
89' - GOAL (COL) - Rapids substitute Alan Gordon rose up and sent a looping header over the outstretched arms of Jake Gleeson and into the back of the net to give the Rapids a late 2-1 lead.
The Timbers will travel to TCF Bank Stadium early next week to take on expansion side Minnesota United FC on Wednesday (5 p.m. PT, KPDX).
