PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers today announced the club has entered into a multiyear, multifaceted partnership with Sightbox, as the club’s official vision care partner. As part of the collaboration, Sightbox, the season presenting partner for the Timbers, holds exclusive logo rights on all Timbers training apparel to be worn during training sessions and pregame.
“We are thrilled to enter into this multifaceted partnership with Sightbox, an innovative, homegrown company that shares our commitment to the community in which we live,” said Mike Golub, president of business for the Timbers.
While working together, the Timbers and Sightbox, a Portland-based organization, will collaborate on a number of community outreach activities as part of the partnership. Additionally, Sightbox will be displayed prominently at Providence Park, serving as the presenting partner of the player, coach and staff gameday entrance, the Providence Park box office and each individual MLS season.
Fans can also expect to see Sightbox represented on multiple Timbers platforms, including a variety of digital channels, onsite at Providence Park and at the adidas Timbers Training Center in Beaverton, Ore.
"As a company born in Portland, Sightbox is thrilled to be entering this partnership,” said Shayna Liberman, director of marketing for Sightbox. “Collaborating with the Timbers will help us strengthen our commitment to the Portland community, and to the eye health of athletes and fans all over the country. No team has a more loyal fanbase than the Timbers, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of that."
The new Sightbox training kits and related signage elements will be on display for the first time as the Timbers return to training at the adidas Timbers Training Center on Tuesday. For images of the training kit featuring the Sightbox logo, click here.
