T2 midfielder Renzo Zambrano was named to the USL Team of the Week Bench for Week 27 after scoring the game-winning goal, his third of the season, in a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Las Vegas Lights FC at Cashman Field on Sept. 16.
Portland scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute after Marvin LorÃa slipped in Foster Langsdorf behind the Las Vegas defense down the right edge of the penalty area. Langsdorf slid his pass across the goal to Zambrano, who calmly rolled his finish into the lower corner of the net. With the selection, this marks the fourth time this season a T2 player has been named to the USL Team of the Week bench.
Next up, T2 play the second game of a three-game road trip, traveling to Fresno FC at Chukchansi Park on Saturday, Sept. 22. Beginning at 7 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
