PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers announced today that midfielder Andrés Flores has undergone surgery at Sports Medicine Oregon to repair a medial meniscus tear in his left knee.
In his second season with the Timbers in 2019, Flores appeared in 15 regular-season matches (9 starts), recording one assist.
Flores, who sustained the injury while on duty with the El Salvador Men’s National Team, will conduct his rehabilitation with the Timbers sports medicine staff at Providence Park and at the Providence Sports Care Center. He is expected to return to action in 4-6 weeks.
