T2 midfielder Dylan Damraoui, who turned 19 years-old on May 4, was born in Brussels, Belgium and has represented his country at the U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19 levels. Damraoui, who previously played for Belgium's Club Brugge at the U-21 level, signed with T2 in February of this year. So far this season, Damraoui has played nearly 500 minutes for T2, tallying a goal and an assist from his position in midfield.
We checked in to hear more about his adjustment to Portland and ask about his incredible hair.
How do you like it so far here in Portland?
Dylan Damraoui: “It's very good. I like it.”
What are your favorite things about Portland?
DD: “Training! And sometimes I enjoy the sun.”
What do you miss about home in Belgium?
DD: “My family and my friends. That's all.”
How have you liked playing with T2?
DD: “It's cool! I like it. It's a lot of fun when we play. I never see this [fun environment] in Belgium.”
When did you first start growing out your hair and why?
DD: “It was when I was 10 years-old. I left it. I had no time for shaving my head because I had training every day. So barbershop, nothing – I didn't go.”
Do you like the look?
DD: “Yeah! It looks good! If I cut it, I think I would look ugly now.”
