With one-quick swipe of an outreached hand, goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh made stunning save against Sacramento Republic FC on Sept. 29, it was a save that kept the score line close and one that took home Fan’s Choice USL Save of the Week honors for Week 29.
The save came in the first half against Republic FC, turning away a bouncing header from former T2 teammate Villyan Bijev from inside the edge of the six.
McIntosh, on loan from the Portland Timbers, is the second T2 ‘keeper to earn USL Save of the Week honors this season, with Alex Mangels getting the nod in Week 12.
With a USL Cup Playoffs spot already locked up, T2 visits Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday, Oct. 13 in their regular-season finale, a match to determine final postseason seeding. Kickoff is 6 p.m. (Pacific).
