Hinestroza joins on loan, Lawrence signs one-year contract
HILLSBORO, Ore. – Timbers2 have added midfielder Johan Hinestroza and goalkeeper Noah Lawrence to their roster, the club announced today. Hinestroza and Lawrence will be with the club through 2022.
Hinestroza, 20, joins T2 on loan from Colombian side Atlético Nacional. The Colombian midfielder has earned three caps with the U17s and was a part of the 2021 roster that claimed the Copa Colombia title.
Lawrence, 23, signs with T2 out of Big Ten conference side Ohio State University. The Mount Vernon, N.Y., native was drafted by Austin FC in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, but returned to OSU for his final collegiate season. In two seasons with the Buckeyes (2020-21), Lawrence made 18 appearances and was named a 2021 Academic All-Big Ten selection. Before transferring to Ohio State, Lawrence spent three seasons at the University of Cincinnati (2017-19), logging 36 appearances. As a youth, he was developed in both the New York Red Bulls and D.C. United academies and featured in the U.S. Men’s Youth National Team U-19 pool.
