Nathan Fogaça, Ismalia Jome score but Timbers2 lose 4-2 to MNUFC2

HILLSBORO, Ore.* – Timbers2 rallied from an early deficit to level the match at 2-2, but MNUFC scored a pair of goals late in the second half as Portland fell 4-2 at Hillsboro Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Timbers2 will play its final home game of the campaign on Wednesday at Providence Park against Whitecaps FC 2 before concluding the season on the road against the Tacoma Defiance on Sept. 18.
Timbers2 trailed 2-0 after the opening 22 minutes, but Nathan Fogaça pulled a goal back in first-half stoppage time to cut the deficit to just one goal at the halftime break. Ismalia Jome finished the match with a goal and an assist, tallying his goal to level the match in the 77th minute. Portland played the final eight minutes plus stoppage time down a player after Pablo Bonilla was sent off and MNUFC2 tallied a pair of goals to secure the win.

MIN – Nabilai Kibunguchy, 87th minute: Off a corner kick, the ball was flicked on by a Timbers2 player, buy Nabilai Kibunguchy redirected the ball with a header inside the left post.
MIN – Loïc Mesanvi (Thomas Williamson), 90+3 minute: Thomas Williamson played the ball to Loïc Mesanvi near the right corner of the six-yard box. Mesanvi chipped the ball over the top and just inside the left post.
