PORTLAND, Ore. – After earning three wins and a draw over their last five games, T2 travel to face Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Friday, May 13, at Switchbacks Stadium; kickoff is set for 6 p.m. (Pacific).
The match on Friday at Switchbacks Stadium marks the first of three regular-season meetings scheduled between T2 and Colorado Springs in 2016, as both teams are set to meet again Thursday, July 7 and Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Merlo Field.
T2 (3-4-1, 10pts) enter this week’s road contest looking to build off Saturday’s 3-1 win over Real Monarchs SLC at Providence Park. During the match, forward Neco Brett, who was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 7, tallied a brace in a 10-minute span late in the second half and forward Ben Polk scored his first professional goal for T2. With the win, T2 has earned three wins and a draw over their last five games (3-1-1) and improved to 2-0-2 against Real Monarchs SLC, dating back to the 2015 USL campaign. With finishes from Polk and Brett, seven different players have scored for T2, with Nick Besler, Dylan Damraoui, Kharlton Belmar, Andre Lewis and Victor Arboleda each recording goals through eight games.
While posting a 3-1-1 record in their last five games, T2 is the only Western Conference club to feature at least one player on the USL Team of the Week from Week 4-7. Forward Kharlton Belmar (Week 4 and Week 5), defender Marco Farfan (Week 6) and forward Neco Brett (Week 7) have all represented T2 on the USL Team of the Week this season.
