Key plays
After earning a free kick 35 yards away from goal, Barmby’s clipped service into the box picked out Jadama, but his header at the near post was saved by Orange County goalkeeper Luis López in the third minute.

T2 took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute after midfielder Renzo Zambrano slipped a pass into the path of Loría, who avoided an Orange County challenge at the center circle. Loría glided past midfielder Christian Duke, before dribbling past the last Orange County defender at the top of the box. After López came off his line to close down Loría, the Costa Rican midfielder delivered a left-footed chip inside the penalty area into the back of the net. The assist marked Zambrano’s second of the USL season.

Portland extended its lead to 2-0 after Langsdorf headed the ball toward the left edge of the penalty area. Clipping the ball over an Orange County defender, Barmby settled the ball in space inside the box and unleashed a left-footed strike that found the far, lower corner of the net in the 31st minute.

Orange County SC cut into T2’s lead in the 62nd minute after midfielder Aodhan Quinn latched onto Michael Seaton’s pass inside the penalty area, firing past McIntosh to make it a 2-1 score line.

Orange County tied the match following a cross by Quinn from the left flank into the penalty area. Before McIntosh could punch the cross, forward Thomas Enevoldsen headed down the ball and rolled his finish from a tight angle into the net in the 84th minute.

Just before full time, Barmby’s left-footed shot from outside the box was fired past the far post in the 90th minute.

Postgame Quote Sheet
T2 head coach Cameron Knowles
On the team earning a point on the road…
“It was a good result, especially on the back of short rest in a difficult game in difficult conditions. In the first half, we put ourselves in a really good position to win the game and I know the players are disappointed to only get a point out of it.”

On the performance of the group…
“I think it was outstanding. There were a number of very, very strong performances and some moments of individual brilliance, whether that was in the attack or in defending. There were some big tackles, big saves and obviously some good goals. Overall, to put out a performance with that kind of effort in hot conditions and on short rest was really, really impressive.”

On the team building on today’s performance heading into Sunday’s match against Phoenix Rising FC…
“We’ve just got to keep that momentum going and keep taking points. Every game we can take points from, especially down the final stretch of the season will be really important because there are a lot of teams close to one another just above the cut line. We just need to continue taking steps forward.”
