The Portland Timbers are proud to present Green Is Gold, a platform to highlight the club’s nature conservation and sustainability initiatives in the community and at Providence Park.

Through season-long programming and activations with Stand Together, The Nature Conservancy and other community partners, Green is Gold aims to raise awareness and educate on the topics of nature conservation and biodiversity loss in our community and across our state, as well as actively work to improve our environmental footprint at Providence Park.

Matchday tickets to all Timbers matches also serve as tickets to ride to the stadium. Fans can show their matchday ticket as proof of fare to ride TriMet buses and MAX trains to and from Providence Park starting three hours before a match through three hours after it ends. TriMet’s MAX Blue and Red lines, as well as four bus lines, stop in convenient locations near the stadium. Users can plan their trip to Providence Park at trimet.org with an interactive map displaying all available lines and routes.

Bold Reuse Cups

Our Goal: Sustainability

Our Goal: Sustainability

We have teamed up with Bold Reuse on a reusable cup program as we pursue a more sustainable matchday and event experience at Providence Park. Available in Tanner Ridge, The Club, Lexus Lounge, First Tech Suites and Field Seats.

Introduced in 2024, the program of reusables helps us achieve our reduced waste and climate goals, and beats single-use alternatives through nearly every environmental measure.

The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy

The natural beauty of Oregon inspires—the rugged coastline, towering trees, clear mountain streams, vast high desert. For more than 60 years, The Nature Conservancy has brought people together to protect and restore the lands, waters and natural resources that define our state and sustain our communities. Today, the interconnected crises of climate change and biodiversity loss are driving TNC’s leadership in urgent and collective action to reduce carbon emissions, make our forests healthier and more resilient in the face of catastrophic wildfire, restore coastal wetlands, protect water for nature and people, and more.

Starting with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) on the back of the neck of the club's new Nature Unites kit, the Timbers and TNC will work together to educate, activate and raise awareness around nature conservation, addressing climate change, and biodiversity loss, as well as encourage communities statewide to actively explore, experience and protect the outdoors.
