The Portland Timbers continued their undefeated run of three games with a 2-1 win over Toronto FC Sunday. Leading the charge was goalkeeper Jake Gleesonand midfielder Diego Valeri who both earned spots on the Week 9 MLS Team of the Week.
Valeri, celebrating his 30th birthday, had a goal and an assist on the day while Gleeson contributed four saves--many of them acrobatic--to help hold off the attempted TFC comeback.
