Tickets for the preseason Cascadia Summit go on sale today and there is a limited amount of seats available for Timbers supporters sections.
The Timbers play Sounders FC in the opening match of the Cascadia Summit on Friday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. Major League Soccer’s two 2011 expansion sides, Portland and Vancouver, will face off on Saturday, March 5, at 5 p.m.
Portland Timbers supporters tickets have been held back in the south stands for each of these games and can be purchased with no additional fees through the 107 Independent Supporters Trust. Visit their website for further details as they develop.
There will be a brief pre-sale for 107ist members then it will open up to non-members to purchase.
Tickets purchased through the Ticketmaster public sale will be located elsewhere in the stadium away from the Timbers supporters section.
Portland will each be allotted 500 tickets in specific sections for their match with Sounders FC. For the match between the Timbers and Whitecaps FC, each supporters group will be allotted 1,300 seats, with 500 for Seattle fans. Seating is limited.
The Cascadia Summit will also feature forums involving the coaches and supporters groups from each club.
All matches will be played at the Starfire Sports Stadium in Tukwila, Wash. Tickets are $10 for each day and go on sale Feb. 1 through www.SoundersFC.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. No ticket is necessary for the supporters event/coaches forum.
