In a hard-fought match on the road with high stakes for both sides, the Portland Timbers prevailed on Sunday bringing home the Cascadia Cup after a 1-0 win against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The defense was solid. Goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts preserved the shutout. The team only allowed one shot on goal from Vancouver for the entire match.
However, in a poll where every field player was eligible, it came down to captain Jack Jewsbury's 39th-minute stunner that easily caught your eye.
With 45% of the vote, he is your CenturyLink Man of the Match.
