We asked Brent a few questions after the match.
What was your first memory of/first match supporting the Timbers?
"I remember attending matches when I moved to town in 2005. Favorite early Timbers memories include bark-in-the-park, the game where the Timbers Army threw foam piggy bank giveaway toys into the penalty box, and cheering on Scot Thompson in the backline."

What was your favorite moment of the match tonight?
"We got to meet Jack Jewsbury on the field before the game. He’s a great team ambassador. We also got to see several of the Timbers players’ families before and during the game in KeyBank Club. Watching them play together reinforced how much this team is an extended family for them.
"One of our friends got front-row seats in 106 before the game, and he cheered us on while we were on the field with Timber Joey. It wasn’t planned and he surprised us from the stands."
Who would you nominate as Player of the Match?
"Valeri, with Nagbe in second."
What is your prediction for the next MLS match – Timbers at Toronto FC?
"Toronto is playing really well this year, so going to BMO Field is a tough order. But we’re great at road draws. With the Timbers offense clicking again, we predict 2-2."
What else should we know about your Timbers fandom? Any favorite pieces of Timbers memorabilia?
"One of our first dates was watching the Timbers play in the USL playoffs. We met at the McMenamins St. Johns Theater, each with a friend in tow, but hardly paid attention to them through the game."
