Portland Timbers EA SPORTS FIFA 19 competitor Edgar Guerrero (x_thiago_silva_o or @RCTID_Thiago on social) finished the 2019 eMLS League Series One, presented by PlayStation, at the Esports Arena in Santa Ana, Calif. in a tie for fifth on points with a record of 4-3-2.
While the day's play did not put him in the top four spots for the evening knockout round webstream, his record has him in good position moving forward into next month's League Series Two in Dallas and the eMLS Cup at PAX East in March. Fans can watch the evening finals on Twitch and the MLS app.
- eMLS: Standings
Guerrero's FIFA Ultimate Team roster featured numerous Timbers first team players including Diego Valeri, Sebastián Blanco, Diego Chara, Lucas Melano and Andy Polo alongside global stars such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Busquets. eMLS rules require at least three MLS players on the field at all times–two of which come from the representing team.
Guerrero was one of only two players in the Western Conference to take points from the reigning eMLS Cup champion, Houston Dynamo's Guillermo "Kid M3mito" Trevino, coming up strong in a thrilling 3-3 draw during the afternoon session. After going down 3-1 early, Guerrero fought back with a last-minute equalizer. Also of note, Guerrero defeated Cascadia rival Seattle Sounders FC's Nick "TheMarsBars" Mars with a 2-1 win in the morning session.

The eMLS League Series events – which feature the full roster of eMLS players – help determine the seeding for the 2019 eMLS Cup presented by PlayStation in March. In turn, eMLS Cup participants will earn points for the EA SPORTS Global Series Playoffs, which give gamers a chance to qualify for the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup.
