PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers open preseason training Friday at Providence Park as they begin preparations for the upcoming 2015 season presented by Simple. The club opens its preseason schedule with training in Portland before departing for camp in Tucson, Ariz., on Jan. 28.
After five days of training in the Rose City, the Timbers leave for a 15-day camp in Tucson, where the club will continue to train and play its first games of the preseason. Portland will play preseason games against Sporting Kansas City, the Houston Dynamo and San Jose Earthquakes at the Kino Sports Complex. Returning from Arizona on Feb. 11, the Timbers will train in Portland for the duration of preseason and play host to the 2015 Simple Invitational at Providence Park from Feb. 22-28. Portland will be joined by the Chicago Fire and Vancouver Whitecaps FC of MLS and Norwegian club Stabæk for the preseason event.
Tickets for The Simple Invitational are included in 2015 full-season ticket packages. Individual tickets, which allow entry into both matches each day, start at $13 and are now on sale online. Full tournament ticket packages for The Simple Invitational, starting at $33, also are available for purchase online.

The Timbers open their fifth MLS campaign Saturday, March 7, at Providence Park as they play host to Real Salt Lake at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific).
