Quick Strikes | Diego Chara set to join 200 games played mark with Portland

Diego Chara, Timbers vs. Rapids, 8.24.17

Just one point separates the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders FC in the Western Conference standings as the two teams are set to renew their rivalry Sunday at CenturyLink Field (6:30pm PT, FS1). Portland is also two points ahead of Seattle in the race for the Cascadia Cup. Here are five numbers to know for #SEAvPOR in a Cascadia Cup edition of Quick Strikes.

200 With his next appearance, midfielder Diego Chara will be playing in his 200th career MLS match for the Timbers. Chara will be the second player in club history to hit the 200-game played mark, joining Darlington Nagbe, who reached 200 games earlier this season against Seattle.

64 Wednesday's victory over the Colorado Rapids was Caleb Porter's 64th victory as manager of the Timbers. The win moved Porter into 19th-place on the all-time MLS win list for managers, breaking a tie with Peter Nowak and former Timbers NASL player Glenn Myernick.

15 Midfielder Diego Valeri has set a new career high for goals with 15 scored this season. Valeri is the eighth Timbers player in all eras to reach 15 goals in a single season and the third Timbers player to do so in the top flight of American soccer (Fanendo Adi and Peter Withe).

53 In the 42-year history of the Timbers and Sounders rivalry, 53 different players have scored for the Timbers in a competitive match against the Sounders. Dairon Asprilla was the most recent player to score for the first time against Seattle.

20 The Timbers have played 20 regular-season matches at CenturyLink Field since first playing there in May 2003. Since the club's founding in 1975, Portland has played more games at CenturyLink Field than any other away stadium.
