Coming off their first victory of the season, the Portland Timbers are looking for more when they take on Orlando City SC on Sunday at Providence Park (2pm PT, ESPN2). Orlando City SC is the seventh Florida-based team to take on the Timbers in a league match joining Miami FC and FC Tampa Bay of the USL, and the NASL's Tampa Bay Rowdies, Ft Lauderdale Strikers, Jacksonville Tea Men, and Miami Toros. 9 In 2015, the Timbers have had an array of contributors on the offensive end with nine different players having either a goal or an assist for the club. No other team in MLS has as many with Toronto FC having the second most with eight. Leading the way is Fanendo Adi, who is the only Timber who has at least one goal and one assist this season.
76+ When it comes to scoring late, no MLS team has been more successful than Portland in the early part of 2015. The Timbers have scored three goals in the 76th minute or later this season, which is tied with the Vancouver Whitecaps for most in the league. On the other end of the spectrum, Orlando City has allowed three goals in the final 15 minutes of matches, which is tied for the most allowed during that span.
13Nat Borchers scored the opening goal in Portland's 3-1 victory over FC Dallas Saturday, giving him thirteen goals in MLS career. While not neccesarily known as a scoring presence, those 13 goals are fifth-most among active MLS centerbacks behind Drew Moor, Jamison Olave, Bobby Boswell and Chad Marshall.
6 The Timbers have had six players play every minute of the club's matches so far this season. No other team in MLS has had as many players play every minute of their team's matches in 2015. Liam Ridgewell, Adam Kwarasey, Nat Borchers, Jorge Villafana, Alvas Powell, and Darlington Nagbe have each gone the full 90 Portland's five matches.
23 Donovan Ricketts is in his first season with Orlando City after playing for the Timbers from 2012-2014. The 37-year-old goalkeeper holds Portland's all-time club record for shutouts with 23, which is one more than USL-era keepers Josh Saunders and Steve Cronin.
