PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers today announced that goalkeeper Aljaž Ivačič has undergone successful surgery to repair a left tibial stress fracture. The procedure was performed by Timbers physician Dr. Kevin Murphy Friday afternoon at Sports Medicine Oregon.
Ivačič, who is expected to be able to return to play in 6-8 weeks, will conduct his rehabilitation with the Timbers sports medicine staff at Providence Park and at the Providence Sports Care Center.
