PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers and Thorns FC are partnering with KGW for their 16th annual School Supply Drive. Two collection events will be held at Providence Park to gather donations for the local non-profit organization, Schoolhouse Supplies.
Donations for the School Supply Drive will be collected at Gate F and D at Providence Park prior to the Thorns FC match on Aug. 20 against the North Carolina Courage and the Timbers match on Aug. 26 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Attendees can bring new school supplies to the event or donate at www.kgw.com/school, ensuring that students in the area have access to the tools they need to excel in their studies.
All school supplies collected during the Timbers and Thorns FC games will directly benefit Schoolhouse Supplies, a non-profit organization committed to improving education by equipping classrooms and students in need. The supplies will be distributed to local school districts and their Free-Store for teachers located in Portland.
