On Saturday, September 10, the Portland Timbers celebrate their 100th consecutive regular-season sold-out match at Providence Park. From our inaugural game in 2011 and spanning six seasons, the streak includes more than two million supporters attending a match. As part of the activities commemorating the day, the Timbers are partnering with Uber to launch a special experience around the match – UberCHOPPER. Yes, this is your chance to soar over Portland and Providence Park via helicopter. After your helicopter ride, you will get tickets to the match against Real Salt Lake, $100 of Uber rides and a 1-night stay at The Nines Hotel in downtown Portland.
How it works
- Existing Uber Users can enter code PTFC100 into the Uber app. New users can ENTER TO WIN HERE.
- Entry period ends on Thursday, September 8 at 11:59 pm pst; Winner will be selected on Friday, September 9
- One winner will be selected. The prize pack is for two people (winner can bring one guest).

- Two seats on a 20-minute helicopter flight over downtown Portland provided by Hillsboro Aviation
- Two tickets to the Timbers v. RSL match on September 10 at 7:30 p.m.
- Access to the club’s VIP, on-field hospitality area prior to the match
- One night stay at The Nines Hotel (evening of Saturday, September 10). Check-in is 3 p.m. Check-out is 12 p.m.
- $100 of Uber rides for the weekend
- $50 in park bucks for use at the match (good for food, beverages or merchandise)
Double your chances! There’s a second chance to experience UberCHOPPER. On Friday, September 9 between 12-4 p.m., you will be able to request an UberCHOPPER for FREE. Just open the Uber app on your phone and request the CHOPPER option at the bottom of your screen. Four lucky requesters will win the VIP experience listed above. On Saturday, Sept 10 winners will take an Uber to the helipad during their assigned flight time.
How do I request UberCHOPPER?
- Open the Uber app on your phone
- Set your location and request the CHOPPER option on the far right of the slider
- If an UberCHOPPER is available, Uber will give you a call to confirm the details
- An UberSELECT will pull up to your pickup location and drop off your VIP flight passes
Demand will be high for UberCHOPPER, and availability will be limited. If at first you don’t see any choppers available, keep trying! More will continue to become available throughout the day.
