The 2023 MLS regular season arrives this Saturday when the Portland Timbers open their campaign against Sporting Kansas City, and Providence Park is ready for it (7:30pm PT, TICKETS, MLS Season Pass – FREE). The Timbers will be wearing their brand new Portland Plaid kits on a freshly installed new FieldTurf surface.

Heading to the game? Here's everything you need to know ahead of the match and some new features at Providence Park.

Clear Bag Policy and Bag Check

Our clear bag policy has not changed from previous seasons, however, Providence Park now has a new Bag Check option. Located outside between Gates D and E, fans can check any unneeded bags or prohibited items here before entering and then pick them up when they leave. The cost is $10 per item; $5 for Annual Members.

New food!

Along with a host of new items around the stadium from Park Provisions, Society Pie is Providence Park’s new pizza offering, which is located behind Section 119. Wolf’s Head Smokehouse—the popular BBQ food cart—now has a location near Section 105.

Killer Burger still has locations near Section 93 and Toyota Terrace (near ET9), while Dutch Bros has moved to a new space above Section 99.

Grab n’ Go locations have expanded as well with spots behind Section 96, Section 98, Section 109 and behind Section 113.

*Please note: Mobile ordering is not available.

A new PTFCmap.com

PTFCmap.com—a digital, mobile-enhanced wayfinding tool to help fans find their way around the stadium—has been completely updated and remodeled with a new interface and selectable levels around Providence Park.

There’s no app to download, just visit PTFCmap.com, select what you’re looking for, and see the pins appear on the map. It's your one-stop shop for all matchday needs at Providence Park.

Providence Park is a cashless venue

All registers, including at concessions and PTFC Authentics merchandise locations, will be outfitted with touchless/tap card readers.
