Timbers announce roster status ahead of 2025 season
Timbers pick up contract option on Hunter Sulte and decline 2025 contract options on Tega Ikoba, Marvin Loría and Mason Toye
ACQUIRED: On August 2, 2023 on a full transfer from Portuguese side FC Arouca, will be under contract through 2026 with a club option in 2027. Antony will occupy an International and a U22 Initiative Slot.
2024: Netted the game-tying goal in a 1-1 result against the Seattle Sounders on Oct. 19... Scored a goal and earned an assist against RSL on Sept. 21... Notched assist against the LA Galaxy on Sept. 18... Scored against the Rapids in Leagues Cup 2024 on Aug. 1... Contributed his fourth assist of the season against RSL on July 13... Recorded a goal and assist against Dallas on July 4...Tallied an assist against SKC on April 7... Named to Team of the Matchday 4 bench... Scored the game-tying goal and tallied the game-winning assist against NYC on March 9, earning himself Team of the Matchday 4 bench honors... Notched a brace in Portland’s season opener against Colorado Rapids on Feb. 24, helping the team to a 4-1 win and earning Team of the Matchday 1 & 2 honors.
2023: Scored his first MLS goal 19 minutes into his first start on Sept. 23 vs. Colorado.... Made his MLS debut as a sub against Vancouver on Aug. 26.
CAREER: Antony joins the Timbers after spending three seasons (2021-2023) at FC Arouca playing in Portugal’s’ top-tier league Liga Portugal, where he registered eight goals and three assists in 66 appearances across all competitions. With FC Arouca, the Brazilian attacker featured in the Allianz Cup logging an assist in six appearances, and Taça de Portugal recording an assist in three appearances. This season, Antony has tallied six goals and an assist in 33 appearances for FC Arouca.
