PORTLAND, Ore. – Today the Portland Timbers and Uber partnered up to support the club’s Stand Together community-outreach platform through the Portland Timbers Community Fund and offer Timbers fans rides to matches at Providence Park via the new Timbers View on the Uber app. Stand Together works to harness the power of sport to improve the lives of Portland children and families through targeted programs, deep partnerships and philanthropic giving.
Starting with Sunday’s 2 p.m. match against the New York Red Bulls, fans can access a Timbers-branded icon on the slider at the bottom of the Uber app to request a safe, reliable ride straight to the stadium with a chance to win signed merchandise in those cars. In addition, the Timbers Community Fund will receive $5 for each person who takes a first ride to the stadium using promo code “GOTIMBERS.” First-time users that use the promo code will receive up to $20 off their first ride.
