The Storyline
It's a Cascadia Derby matchup to kick off the 2025 MLS season. The Timbers enter Sunday with some new additions that head coach Phil Neville has described as being able to "bring a new identity and style of play" to the club this season. The biggest signing is new Designated Player, David Da Costa. The 24 year-old Portugese midfielder comes to the Rose City after four seasons with France's Lens RC.
