Quick Strikes | Portland Timbers strong play at Providence Park key to game against Colorado

Darlington Nagbe, Diego Valeri, 5.22.16

After having a weekend without a match for the first time since June, the Portland Timbers return to the field to take on the Colorado Rapids at Providence Park on Sunday (2pm PT, ESPN). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvCOL in the latest Quick Strikes.

17 The Timbers are looking to become the second team in MLS history to score in 17 home games in a single MLS season. Only the 2014 New York Red Bulls have scored in all their MLS home matches since the league went to a 34-game schedule in 2011.

10/7 With 13 goals and seven assists, midfielder Diego Valeri has at least 10 goals and seven assists for the third different season since joining the Timbers in 2013. Valeri joins LA's Robbie Keane as the only players to hit 10 goals and seven assists in at least three of the past four seasons.

11 Portland heads into its regular-season home finale having already won 11 matches at home this season. The 11 wins at Providence Park ties for the most home wins in the club's MLS era with the 2013 season and ties for the second-most home victories in all eras of the club, behind only the 13 wins in 1978 (when draws were not recorded in league play).

2,500 After playing 90 minutes on Oct.1 against Colorado, Diego Chara surpassed the 2,500-minute mark for the 2016 season. Chara has logged 2,500 or more minutes in three different seasons for Portland matching Darlington Nagbe has the only Timbers players to accomplish the feat three times.

12Fanendo Adi is tied for the MLS lead for home goals scored this season with 12. The forward, who has scored in four consecutive home matches, is tied with NYC FC's David Villa and RBNY's Bradley Wright-Phillips for most home goals in 2016.
