LOS ANGELES – In an MLS AT&T Decision Day showdown, defender Jorge Villafaña scored a 90th minute equalizer for Portland and the Timbers drew 1-1 with Los Angeles FC Sunday at Banc of California Stadium.
Portland finishes the 2020 regular season in third place in the Western Conference and will face FC Dallas in the Round One of the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs.

5' - GOAL (LAFC) - Los Angeles took an early 1-0 lead in the fifth minute. A Timbers turnover bounced the ball out to Latif Blessing on the edge of the 18-yard box. Timbers goalkeeper Steve Clark made a diving stop on Blessing's initial shot but the rebound fell to LAFC's Carlos Vela who quickly scored.
52' - SAVE (POR) - Clark kept things close when LAFC's Diego Rossi got past the Timbers defense and hit a hard shot that the Portland goalkeeper made a nice save on.
80' - CHANCE (POR) - Defender Jorge Villafaña sprung Yimmi Chara down the right channel. Chara then crossed a ball into Diego Valeri who one-timed his shot but right at LAFC goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer.
87' - CHANCE (POR) - Dairon Asprilla sent a ball into the LA mixer that Valeri flicked on to the back post where Chara race in and pushed towards goal but Vermeer knocked it out for a corner.
90' - GOAL (POR) - On a Portland counter attack, Felipe Mora's hold up play helped get a ball out to Andy Polo on the right. Polo weighted a ball forward to Valeri along the sideline before he then pinged a perfect ball to the far post where Jorge Villafaña sped in and headed it past Vermeer to tie the score at 1-1.
