With Providence Park hosting due to scheduling conflicts at BC Place, the nith-seed Timbers get home-field advantage against eighth seed Whitecaps for the Western Conference Wild Card Game of the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs. A single elimination match, the winner of Wednesday's matchup will face Los Angeles FC in the first round (Oct. 25-Nov. 10).
Should Vancouver and Portland remain tied at the end of 90 minutes, the two will proceed to a penalty kick shootout to determine who advances, there will be no extra time.
